Egyptian Numbers

Egyptian numbers are built up like Roman numerals,
with a different sign for ones, tens, hundreds,
thousands, etc., as seen in the table at left.
The largest number is written first, followed by each smaller number in turn, in the same sequence as in the table. The sign for "1,000,000", heh, also means "a lot" and is used for any number too large to count. Enter a number below and click on the button to see it converted to hieroglyphs: |
